Book of Ra
Coin Strike is one of those games that looks simple in a screenshot and then eats your afternoon. You flick coins across a board, bouncing them off edges and obstacles to clear targets before the timer runs out. The physics feel tuned just right — a soft flick drifts gently, a hard one ricochets across the whole screen.
What hooked me was how the levels teach you without any tutorial walls. Early boards let you fumble, then later ones demand precise bank shots and chained hits. Controls are a single-finger drag-and-release, which works perfectly on a phone and never fought me, even one-handed on the tram.
The pacing is the real win. Rounds are short enough for a quick break but the combo system makes you want one more go. The art is clean and readable, and the sound effects have a satisfying little snap when a shot lands exactly where you aimed.
What we liked
- One-finger controls that feel precise
- Short rounds that fit a commute
