Pocket Lap started as a group chat between three friends who kept swapping game recommendations and complaining that most review sites never seemed to finish a level before scoring it. We figured we could do better by just being honest about the time we spend with each title.

Every game on this site gets at least a few real play sessions before anyone writes a word. We note the control feel, how the difficulty ramps up, whether the touch buttons get in the way, and how the thing holds up on an older phone with a weak battery.,We lean toward racing and arcade titles because that's what we love most, but we also cover RPGs, strategy, and the odd adventure game when something grabs us. Genre labels matter less to us than whether a game respects your time.,Nobody pays us to feature a game here. If we liked it, we say so; if it frustrated us, we say that too. The ratings are opinions, not verdicts from on high, and we're fine with you disagreeing.
